The problem we got from the Icelandic children was: How to help a firstgrader who is to walk to school alone for the first time. Our 3rd and 4th graders thought of a bear that could comfort you and talk to you if you are scared of the dark during the dark, polar winter months, and show you the way to school if you get lost. But it got a little too complicated, and they decided to code a program that the firstgraders could use to learn the traffic rules.
